Companies across the EU make invaluable contributions to agricultural diversity in Europe through the preservation of old, seed -resistant varieties. Many preserve cultural varieties that are adapted to climate change, are produced locally and remain usable without patents. These varieties are crucial for nutritional sovereignty and resilience.
