New EU rules endanger agriculture and breeding

The EU has decided to the bureaucratic effort to reduce at least 35 % for small and medium -sized companies (SME). In contradiction to this, the planned new EU regulation on the production and marketing of seeds and other herbal propagation material would overload entrepreneurs: inside with new specifications. For many seed companies or nurseries, this could mean that, a Europe-wide survey by Noah’s survey shows among around 200 breeding companies from 16 EU countries: diversity and competition could fall by the wayside.
