Healthy through Währing, it is now said with the City Challenge tours of the Viennese health promotion-WIG. With curiosity and creativity, around 35 students from the Schopenhauerstraße and the Federal Gymnasium 18 have developed the City Challenge Health tours for the same age, which can be booked free of charge by schools and youth -specific institutions by October. As part of the opening tour in the Schubertpark, they were awarded for their commitment. “Young people learn best from each other. It is all the more pleased that Währinger young people develop two different tours with varied tasks and stations and have dealt intensively with their environment and their effects on their own well -being,” said Dennis Beck, Managing Director of Vienna’s health promotion – WIG. The Währinger district leader Silvia Nossek was also there on the first tour and is happy about the free hands -on offer: “Währing is a green district and there is a lot to experience. The City Challenge is fun and shows young people playful how diverse their district is and what they can do for their health.
Discover Wäring: Book age -appropriate health tours for free
If you like to be in the fresh air and want to discover new sides of your grown, you should not miss the City Challenge. Whether puzzling, answering estimates or exercises – the young people are in small groups and are accompanied by trained people on the two -hour tours. Guided by an app you will get to know new places and leisure activities on the way through the district, test your sporty skill and solve quiz questions. “Do it yourself” tours in 12 Viennese districts
In addition to the accompanied City Challenge tours, the Viennese health promotion-WIG also offers “Do It Yourself” tours to explore your own Grätzel independently. Without prior booking, this offer is available all year round in the districts of Leopoldstadt, Landstraße, Margareten, Mariahilf, Favoriten, Simmering, Meidling, Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus, Ottakring, Brigittenau, Floridsdorf and Donaustadt. About the project
