Vienna (OTS) – Wonder Woman back in action: In her second screen adventure, superhero Diana Price comes across a mysterious stone that fulfills every wish on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at 8:15 p.m. on ORF 1. However, in the ORF premiere “Wonder Woman 1984”, the rare artifact falls into the wrong hands – and so it is up to Gal Gadot, Chris Pine and Kristen Wiig to save the world once again! Patty Jenkins took over the direction – as with its predecessor “Wonder Woman” from 2017.

1984 in Washington, DC: Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) works as an archaeologist at the Smithsonian Museum and protects humanity from threats as Wonder Woman. One day she foils a robbery on a black market dealer. The loot, valuable artifacts, is to be identified by Diana’s new colleague Barbara Minerva (Kristen Wiig). There is a mysterious stone underneath that grants all wishes. And so Diana’s great love, Steve Trevor (Chris Pine), stands before her again. When the stone falls into the hands of the unscrupulous, bankrupt entrepreneur Maxwell Lord (Pedro Pascal), the fate of the world is at stake.
