For the first time, the children’s channel (Kika) will broadcast a football international this Tuesday. And for the first time, Lea (13) from Hanover, Dimitris (13) from Heilbronn are children at Nations-League-Spiel Germany against Scotland as a reporter on the edge of the field. Her peer Niklas (12) from Hamburg will comment on the game together with ARD reporter Stephanie Baczyk. It will be broadcast live in the kika from 5:30 p.m.

This was made possible by the Kika-Mitmachktion “Comment like a professional”. Children were able to demonstrate their skills as football commentators. Lea, Dimitris and Niklas prevailed under hundreds of applications and were selected to accompany the game in Wolfsburg as a reporter. They are supported by professionals such as Stephanie Baczyk.

The three children are very happy about this unique opportunity to share their passion for football with others. The goal of this campaign is to have children participating in major sporting events. The live broadcast on KIKA should give young spectators an age-appropriate access to sport. The German Football Association (DFB) supports this campaign to inspire even more kids for women’s football. The sport should be presented in a child -friendly manner.
