Wolt makes its delivery fleet available for orders outside of its own platform. Wolt is also already delivering Sacher cakes from Café Sacher.
Vienna (OTS) – The Finnish delivery service Wolt opens its platform and expands its offering with the new Wolt Drive service. The company is now making its logistics available to other companies and enables deliveries within 35 minutes. What does that mean specifically? Every store, every service provider or e-commerce provider can access Wolt’s delivery network in Vienna and thus have their own goods delivered quickly and reliably.
In Vienna, the traditional company Sacher uses Wolt Drive’s logistics. Customers can now choose the Wolt Drive delivery option when shopping in Sacher’s online shop. Other companies that already deliver with Wolt Drive include mel&koffie, Nestwirt and Ginza Yipin.
More independence
Matthias Winkler, CEO of Sacher Hotels, emphasizes: “An original Sacher cake delivered to your home within an hour? This is now available in Vienna. The trend towards fast delivery has long since arrived in Vienna. By integrating Wolt as a delivery option into our own online shop, we can not only easily meet this customer request, but also rely on a professional delivery infrastructure without having to set up our own resources. At the same time, we retain our operational autonomy: the customer orders directly from us, Wolt takes care of the logistics.”

The special thing about it: Wolt Drive is available to every dealer, even if they are not represented in the Wolt app. The customer orders via the retailer’s app or online shop and Wolt, as a logistics partner, takes care of the last mile delivery. There is no commission for the retailer, just a transparent fixed amount per order.
“From now on, all retailers can use our logistics offering for the last mile,” explains Joscha Domdey, General Manager Wolt Austria, “This is possible via an API integration, which allows Wolt to be offered in your own shop as one of several delivery options. But it is also possible via a website through which retailers can request a delivery partner from A to B, and finally via platforms like Shopify, where Wolt can easily be activated as a delivery option for their own goods.”
Already available in several countries
The offer is not new for the Finnish delivery service. Wolt Drive has been available in Croatia for some time. Deutsche Telekom is one of the most important partners there. If Telekom customers order a new modem there, Wolt delivers it directly to their front door within a short period of time. Wolt also offers this service in Azerbaijan. When you open an account with Kapital Bank, credit cards are delivered to your home via Wolt Drive. In Israel, for example, McDonald’s uses Wolt to deliver orders from its own platform. In Germany KFC. “For the Austrian market, Wolt Drive is almost a small logistics revolution”
says Joscha Domdey. “For us, the launch of the new offer is a logical next step. After all, we see ourselves as a logistics optimization company. We have specifically designed our platform to enable precisely such offers as an intelligent logistics hub.”
