With the Silicon Seestadt, Vienna is becoming a high-tech metropolis of the future

The goal for NEOS is clearly formulated: Vienna as a cultural and tourism capital has to position itself internationally with a strong second pillar as a leading European high-tech future location. Progress must be designed in such a way that people can use opportunities to be self -confident and self -determined. The focus: Human-Centered Solutions, sustainable solutions that serve the people of the city. It’s about jobs and quality of life.

On the area of ​​the former Opel plant in Aspern, a modern high-tech hub is to be created on 15 hectares, in which research, education and companies work closely together. The centerpiece forms a powerful AI data center that serves as a backbone for digital applications and innovative business models.

In the Silicon Seestadt Central future fields are bundled:

• Modern AI data center As the basis of digital infrastructure

• Circular economy centerwith robot -supported dismantling routes for urban mining, the recovery of valuable resources from old products

• Additive Manufacturing Space For resource -saving production of small series production

• Robotics Lab For the development and production of robot solutions

• Vertical Farming For sustainable food production and test of new technologies

The Silicon Seestadt is designed as a zero-emission area with the highest energy efficiency and renewable energy-a model project for sustainable urban development.

“AI infrastructure is the high source of the 21st century- and Vienna has to play a leading role here. With the Silicon Seestadt, we create the prerequisites to bring research results into practice faster and to make innovation tangible. I will be politically committed to ensuring that one of the AI ​​Gigafactories of the future is located in Vienna,” emphasizes NEOS Vienna Research and Digitalization Speaker Stefan Gara.
