Ossi Hicker, who was already active in the management of the regional media in Lower Austria from 2010 to 2020, will now take over the management and editor -in -chief of the regional media in Lower Austria after five years. “I am really looking forward to being able to resume my previous function, because I lacked the regional media and the committed teams in the regions of Lower Austria. I have always burned for local journalism, the products have developed in the meantime and with the common brand Meinbezirk I see the best prerequisites for a strong future at the reader: Interior and advertising market equally.”

In Salzburg, Michi Kretz returns to the management of the Salzburg regional media after a year: “I feel deeply anchored in the media industry. The regionality of Meinverzirk with its close proximity to the people and companies in the regions enthusiastically inspires me and is the motivation to build on my 13 years as managing director of the Salzburg regional media. Together with the teams familiar to me, we will actively help shape the Salzburg media market.”

With this change, the double management for the regional media Salzburg and Tyrol as well as the regional media in Lower Austria and Vienna ends. From May, Thomas Zerlauth will again focus 100 percent on the management of the Tyrol regional media as well as Managing Director Gerhard Riedler from June again will completely devote himself to the regional media in Vienna.

Michael Kretz is a graduate of the Tourismus School in Klessheim. After a few years in the hotel industry, he switched to the management of a private insurance company for 20 years. Kretz graduated from health management and was the managing director of the Salzburg regional media for 13 years. Most recently, he was an office manager and press spokesman in a government office. On May 2025, Michi Kretz will again take over the management of the Salzburg regional media.
