With Harald Serafin, a great ambassador of cultural tourism gave us away
Vienna (OTS) –

Austria has lost one of his formative cultural personalities: Harald Serafin, entertainer, singer and long -time director of the Mörbisch sea festival, died at the age of 93. From 1992 to 2012, Serafin, as director and artistic director, shaped the sea festival games Mörbisch like no other.

Under his leadership, the festival developed from a regional insider tip to one of the most important operetta stages in Austria that attracts visitors from all over the world. Tourism State Secretary Elisabeth Zehetner recognizes his life’s work: “Harald Serafin was much more than an entertainer, he was a passionate cultural ambassador who touched and inspired people with his distinctive nature. For over two decades he shaped the sea festival Mörbisch and thus contributed significantly to strengthen the cultural and tourism location Austria internationally.”

His tireless commitment to the operetta and his ability to make culture accessible as an experience for a wide audience left permanent traces. “With Harald Serafin, Austria loses a great artist, a passionate designer and a person who inspired generations with his joie de vivre and warmth. Our sympathy applies to his family and his relatives,” says Zehetner.
