Neos-Education spokeswoman Martina von Künsberg Sarre is pleased with the Austrian-wide introduction of orientation classes, which is now adopted in the National Council: “We are creating a structured framework for children who have not yet attended school and specifically support them in the start of everyday school life. This is lived integration and a real contribution to more opportunities for opportunities.”
Due to the massive influx in recent years, the number of extraordinary pupils in the Austrian elementary schools has risen sharply. In order to prepare for children who have never attended a school before everyday school life, the so -called orientation classes are now rolled out throughout Austria. After an orientation interview with parents and child, it is decided whether it is necessary to promote German or an additional accompaniment in everyday school life.
Von Künsberg Sarre: “The aim is that after attending the orientation class, the children can find their way around the orientation class and can learn and live fundamental values such as respect, tolerance and responsibility. Neos has always been fighting for the best education for all children. The orientation classes are another important step to enable all children a successful school life.”
The new training offensive in the field of elementary pedagogy also expressly welcomes the Neos training spokeswoman. From autumn 2025, the bachelor’s degree in elementary education starts at the FH Campus Vienna, from 2026/27 it will also be offered at teaching universities.
“Elementary pedagogy is the foundation of early childhood education – and a key to real opportunities for opportunities. With the new studies, we finally create another training path for the specialists of tomorrow.”
Von Künsberg Sarre emphasizes: “These measures are other large, necessary and correct steps. They lay the foundation for an education system that takes integration seriously, relies on quality and aims to open the same opportunities to all children and to raise the wings of every child.”
