At the end of September 2024, the electronic vaccination pass (“eImpfpass”) was introduced nationwide in Austria. An option to unsubscribe, as is still possible with ELGA, is explicitly excluded. Critics complain that, among other things, the security of sensitive medical data is not guaranteed.
For this reason, an application for a review of the law is now being submitted to the Constitutional Court.
