Vienna (OTS) A new TV format will take audiences on an exciting journey through time and space on ORF III from March 13, 2024: In the innovative monthly program “Werner Gruber’s Experimental Kitchen” (Wednesdays at 10:30 p.m.), which expands the ORF III portfolio by one The renowned physicist and co-founder of the now cult “Science Busters” combines his love of science with his passion for cooking. In each episode, Gruber presents impressive scientific experiments and recipes that demonstrate the everyday relevance of physics. With a mix of humor and expertise, he demonstrates how physical know-how can enrich the enjoyment of our favorite dishes and explains the basic physical principles of life in an entertaining and understandable way. The first four editions will be programmed by June, and a second season is already being planned.

“Werner Gruber’s Experimental Kitchen” shows that science affects us all – in everyday life: from analogue cooking to digital gaming. The show not only pampers the palate, but also arouses curiosity. Using street surveys, people of all ages can guess and ask questions themselves.
The first episode on Wednesday, March 13th at 10:30 p.m. is under the motto “From the Big Bang to the Perfect Roast Pig”. In it, Gruber reveals the secret of the ultimate roast pork with the crispiest crust and takes the audience on a fascinating journey from the Big Bang to the origin of life. Questions such as: “What to do in a grease fire?” and “Why are people so obsessed with optimization?” are also humorously examined.
In the second issue “Galactic – with a tea bag rocket into the universe”, on April 10th at 10:30 p.m., Werner Gruber devotes himself to the secrets of the universe. The physicist explains how a home-made rocket can be used to penetrate the depths of space and illuminates the history of star observation from Galileo Galilei to modern space travel.
“Intoxicating – hidden secrets of drug physics” will be the focus of the third episode of “Werner Gruber’s Experimental Kitchen” on May 22nd, while the fourth program on June 19th will focus on the “Moon mission – between radioactive moon rocks and cosmic sausages”.
