The new Weißwein Guide Austria 2025 was presented last night in the Vienna Castle Quadrat – Restautant Gergely’s. In a proven form, the 308-page compendium offers well-founded information, professional reviews and editorially prepared recommendations for a total of 498 wines submitted- including rose, orange and foam wines. Tasted and evaluated was tasted and evaluated under the direction of wine academic Johannes Fiala, supported by a top-class jury from sommeliers, wine journalists and specialist dealers-including sommelier icon Adi Schmid.

The Sauvignon Blanc Ried Rosgarten TMS 2022 from the Kodolitsch (South Styria) winery leads the ranking with 98.7 out of 100 points and thus defends its toppling from the previous year. The Sauvignon Blanc Ried Wielitsch Chapel in 2023 from the Stefan Potzinger (Gabersdorf) winery and the Riesling Smaragd Ried Kellerberg in 2023 of the Wachau domain (Dürnstein) followed with 98 points.
