“We don’t let ourselves be divided”
Vienna (OTS) –

“An attack on a religious community is an attack on all of us. We condemn every form of anti -Semitism,” Mayor Michael Ludwig said today, Sunday, in response to a vandalism act against the Jewish flag on the campus of religions in the Seestadt. In the presence of representatives of all eight religious communities, together with Oberrabbi Jaron Engelmayer and Imam Ermin Sehic, he again had the flag of the Jewish community at the building site of the interreligious meeting place.

Ludwig continues: “Even in the world -political turbulent times, Vienna clearly stands up for cohesion, tolerance and openness. We cannot be divided apart.” Part of the campus of religions are the Catholic, Protestant, Orthodox and Old Catholic Church as well as the Israelite cultural community, the Islamic community, the Buddhist religious community and the community of the Sikhs.
