This Friday, Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner was a guest at the ORF Lower Austria Summer Talks. The main topic was the growing influence of political Islam and increasing anti-Semitism in schools. “The state governor’s demand for higher penalties for parents unwilling to integrate is appropriate and necessary. Cotton candy diplomacy and feel-good pedagogy are no longer enough to address the problem in schools. Sensitive sanctions are needed for parents who, through their upbringing, make it impossible for their children to successfully integrate and adapt to our values. The Lower Austrian students don’t need anyone to explain to their classmates how to dress in physical education class,” emphasizes People’s Party of Lower Austria regional manager Matthias Zauner.
Successful balance sheet and clear future goals
The interim balance of one and a half years of working agreements and the major projects announced for the future also show that Lower Austria is working with a clear handwriting. “Whether care, childcare or green electricity – Lower Austria is a model federal state. Our successes speak for themselves and give us the mandate to consistently continue on this path,” concludes Zauner.
