There must be no place for anti-Semitism in Vienna
Vienna (OTS) – “It is nothing short of shameful that the Jewish flag on the Religious Campus has once again fallen victim to a brazen act of anti-Semitic vandalism. This must be condemned in the strongest possible terms,” said state party chairman City Councilor Karl Mahrer in view of the current incident.
The police announced today that a group of six people were observed tearing up the flag in question.
“The fact that this religious campus in the Danube city, which represents a place of peaceful coexistence, is confronted with this vandalism fills me with great concern. “Now at the latest we need a united effort to ensure that these terrible things don’t happen again,” said Gudrun Kugler, the district party leader of the Donaustadt People’s Party.
It is obvious that anti-Semitic incidents in Vienna are constantly increasing. Right now, everything must be done to prevent such despicable incidents. “It is now time to join forces against anti-Semitism with all constructive forces in this city,” concluded Mahrer.
