VÖSI SOFTWARE DAY focuses on sustainability

VÖSI SOFTWARE DAY focuses on sustainability

The Association of Austrian Software Innovations (VÖSI) invites you to the 7th Software Day at the Austrian Chamber of Commerce on March 14th.

Vienna (OTS) Think Tech. Create Future. Inspiring solutions for sustainable business – this is the motto of the event POCKET on March 14th the already traditional Software Day, which this year is all about sustainability and resilience. Software Day brings together the local software industry and its customers. On the one hand, it is aimed at all members of VÖSI, but also at CIOs, employees in IT departments, software engineers, project managers, researchers and industry stakeholders.

“It’s about an exchange at eye level and a discourse on the topics of technologies, software and innovation. Because the technologies are developing rapidly, the more difficult it is to actually develop sustainable software solutions,” emphasizes VÖSI President Klaus Veselko. The question therefore arises: How is it possible today to actually implement software solutions and IT projects that can be used by companies in the long term and support companies in their business?

“Software development used to lag behind the ever-increasing expectations of business. That has changed: Software can now do things that business cannot even imagine in its wildest expectations. At the same time, the requirements for high-performance software have increased to such an extent that it is necessary to create a sustainable, scalable IT architecture and to pay attention to long-term use and a good user experience, but also to IT security,” says VÖSI Vice President and software entrepreneur Peter Lieber (Sparx Systems), who will take over the opening together with Alfred Harl (chairman of the UBIT trade association) and VÖSI Vice President Doris Lippert (Microsoft).
