Event tip for parents and educators
Wiener Neustadt (OTS) – Under the motto “healthy – active – creative”, the toddler houses of Volkshilfe Niederösterreich / SERVICE MENSCH GmbH will open their doors to interested parties for the eleventh time on Thursday, April 25, 2024 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The afternoon provides insights into the daily lives of around 700 small children between 1 and 2.5 years old, who are looked after by Volkshilfe educators every month in 35 small child care facilities throughout Lower Austria. The opening times are based on the needs of working parents. The care of children up to a maximum of 3 years is free of charge. The care costs for the afternoon are socially staggered.
“In addition to information about the daily routines in the groups, opening times, tariffs and the educational focus, visitors can also expect guided tours of the house and garden,” says the President of Volkshilfe NÖ Prof. Ewald Sacher about the program for the day of the open children’s homes.
Nutrition, exercise, relaxation and all forms of creative expression have been the focus of the childcare facilities of Volkshilfe NÖ / SERVICE MENSCH GmbH for many years. “Together with our employees, we developed this concept, which is also very well received by parents,” explains the managing director of Volkshilfe NÖ Gregor Tomschizek, “For seven years our facilities have been awarded the internal quality seal ‘Healthy Children’s Home’ and all of our childcare services Facilities are continually externally inspected by Quality Austria and are ISO certified.”
“Promoting children’s social skills and interests is particularly important to us,” says authorized representative Maria Panzenböck-Stockner. “Especially in regions where there are hardly any childcare places for the little ones, our childcare facilities are a prerequisite for getting back into working life to be able to.”
“In addition to parents and children, our employees also feel comfortable, as the recent employee survey revealed,” explains department manager Karola Grill-Haderer, “the very positive results are even higher than last year and almost all employees are working (very ) would be happy to be part of the Volkshilfe NÖ team.”
Volkshilfe NÖ / SERVICE MENSCH GmbH has been operating 86 small and school child care facilities (children’s homes) in the state since the 1980s in good cooperation with the municipalities. Children’s homes are the modern form of childcare. Toddlers, kindergarten children and school children are supported, motivated and flexibly looked after by qualified teachers.
