The more dangerous things become, the more opaque they become. Only this much is clear: Mephisto and his co-conspirators are about to strike a devastating blow against the monarchy. But what kind of powers are these that have conspired against the state and against Oskar personally? What role do the high-ranking personalities play, especially Katharina Schratt (Ulrike Beimpold), the emperor’s mistress, who come and go in Helena Rieger’s (Leonie Benesch) casino? When Oskar realizes what a diabolical plan is at work, it seems too late. There will be a devastating attack and a major war. Oskar alone can prevent this – or is he also part of Mephisto’s plan?

“Vienna Blood – Mephisto” is a production by MR FILM and Endor Productions in co-production with ORF, ZDF, Seven. One Studios International, made with the support of FISA+, Film in Austria (ABA), TV Fund Austria, Film Fund Vienna and the State of Lower Austria.
