First EURO day on ORF with 1.9 million (WSK)
Vienna (OTS) – With great audience interest, the ORF started the EURO 2024 in Germany yesterday, Saturday, June 15th, with two live games: up to 748,000 fans on ORF 1 didn’t miss the European Championship clash between Spain and Croatia the evening before, on average 674,000 saw the second half with a 32 percent market share (46 and 57 percent market share in the young target groups). The afternoon game between Hungary and Switzerland was watched by up to 577,000 people (in the second half) via ORF live broadcast, with an average of 498,000 with a 44 percent market share (52 and 78 percent market share in the young target groups).
A total of 1.9 million (widest circle of viewers), which is 26 percent of the domestic TV population aged 12 and over, watched the two ORF live broadcasts from EURO 2024 yesterday.
The ORF video streams for yesterday’s EURO games were also used intensively: According to online moving image measurements (AGTT/GfK TELETEST census), the live streams of the second halves of the Hungary-Switzerland and Spain-Croatia matches scored in Austria has an average range of 56,000 and 75,000 respectively.
