Up to 1.131 million saw the victory of Landskron Castle in “10 Years 9 Places – 9 Treasures”

Market share record on the tenth anniversary; successful start for “The Legend Hunter”

Vienna (OTS) On October 26, 2023, ORF once again delivered the TV highlights on the national holiday for Austrians with a red-white-red program on ORF 2 and ORF III:
A total of 2.731 million (widest circle of viewers), which is 36 percent of the domestic TV population, saw yesterday’s program on ORF 2, which began at 9:05 a.m. with the broadcasts on the national holiday and with “10 years of 9 places – 9 treasures” and the ” “Austria 23” gala concluded, and that in ORF III with, among other things, the series “Icons in Red-White-Red”. There was great interest in the individual programs – once again especially for the anniversary program of “9 Places – 9 Treasures”.

After Styria (Green Lake), Vorarlberg (Formarinsee/Rote Wand), Tyrol (Kaisertal), Vorarlberg again (Körbersee), the Schiederweiher (Upper Austria), the Lünersee (Vorarlberg), the Strutz-Mühle (Styria), the Wiegensee ( Vorarlberg) and most recently the Friedenskircherl am Stoderzinken in Styria, the anniversary winner of “9 Places – 9 Treasures” comes from Carinthia for the first time: Landskron Castle, one of the most impressive castle complexes in Austria, located between Lake Ossiacher and the district town of Villach, sat down yesterday , on October 26th, against the other candidates. As was the case last year, second place went to Salzburg, which was represented this year by the Eisriesenwelt, and third place went to Hardegg in Lower Austria. Up to 1.131 million viewers did not miss the show, with an average of 987,000 watching live via ORF 2 with a 37 percent market share (25 percent for 12-29 and 26 percent for 12-49). This means that “10 Years of 9 Places – 9 Treasures” achieved both the best average market share and record numbers among 12 to 29 year olds and 12 to 49 year olds since the show began in 2014.

Afterwards, at 11:20 p.m., an average of 226,000 viewers with an 18 percent market share watched the gala “Austria 23 – The Austrians of the Year” on ORF 2.

The hour-long broadcast from Heldenplatz reached 149,000 viewers with a 23 percent market share. 362,000 people took part in the “Austria picture on the holiday: 40 years of the city of Hohenems – urbanity with a village character” with a 21 percent market share.
