Achieve significant progress on environmental goals:
- We continued our emissions reduction activities, reducing global Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 19.90% compared to baseline, moving us closer to our 2025 target.
- Univar Solutions has set a new and first-ever Scope 3 target to reduce the intensity of our Scope 3 emissions by 15% by 2030.
- We improved our key release metrics from 82 to 76 in 2023.
- We reduced our hazardous waste by 16.51% and increased the proportion of general waste recycled to 19.21%.
- We reduced water waste by 34.64% from baseline, exceeding our target.
- We have expanded our range of sustainable and natural products to include over 600 unique materials, helping our customers achieve their goals while reducing impact on the value chain.
Reinforce the positive impact on society:
- Despite the increase in the Total Case Incidence Rate (TCIR) from a record low in 2022 to 0.45, the rate remains below our baseline of 0.47.
- We met both of our team diversity targets and exceeded our 2025 goal two years early.
Advanced Governance Questions:
- We have maintained our EcoVadis Gold rating and increased our score to 76/100, placing our company in the top 3% of all rated companies.
- At the end of 2023, we achieved our goal of communicating our expectations on ESG issues to all product suppliers through the publication of our Global Supplier Code of Conduct.
- We have expanded supplier assessment to 54.4% of our spend, up from 44.5% in 2022.
