On May 17, 2025, the 33rd International Fireworks Competition of Hannover Veranstaltungs GmbH (HVG) starts the new season. In the anniversary year, teams from countries to Hanover are invited that have contributed significantly to the history and development of the Herrenhausen gardens. This year’s competition is under the motto
“Sparkling anniversary”.
The five renowned pyrotechnics teams present their spectacular shows in baroque garden sets on five evenings between May and September – traditionally with one Compulsory piece. This year it will be the classic “Ass of The Prie” His, one of Georg Friedrich Handel’s best-known works, also known as the UEFA anthem. It is recorded by the NDR radiophilharmonie. Five countries – five connections to Herrenhausen

Team Rozzi Famous Fireworks
17.05.25 (USA), Thema: A Cultural Tapestry
Rozzi Famous Fireworks was founded in the south of Italy in 1895 and has been firmly rooted in Pennsylvania since Paolo Rozzi’s emigration. Today Nancy Rozzi runs the family company in the fifth generation. The team inspires with lively colors, complex pictures and perfect timing – most recently at the Danang International Festival 2024.
With your show A Cultural Tapestry The team opens the 2025 competition and brings the American dream to shine as a colorful mosaic from history, diversity and visions via Herrenhausen.
Team DFP fireworks

The Team DFP Vuurwerk was founded in 2012 by Jaco van Vuren and Bob Langras and has since stood for the highest quality, creative choreographies and technical sophistication. Appearances in Japan, Spain and France as well as a show on the 40th birthday of King Willem-Alexander underline their international reputation.

The team from Niagara Falls has stood for top -class fireworks since 2006. With successes such as the 2nd place in Herrenhausen 2016 and the victory at the Vancouver Celebration of Light 2019, Firemaster Productions is one of the internationally renowned teams. Under the direction of Sean Morris, shows are created that inspire with carefully chosen music and the latest staging.
With Women in Music The team lights an emotional fireworks in honor of pioneering artists – an evening full of energy, feeling and shining homage to the women who have shaped the music world.
Morsani Pyrotechnic Team

The traditional team from Rieti near Rome has been inspiring with elaborately staged music fireworks since 1880. Pirotecnica Morsani was already in use at large events such as the baroque festival in Lisbon, the New Year’s celebrations in Rome and the 700th anniversary of Bilbao – always with a passion for artistic precision and emotional depth.
With Opera in the Sky The team is dedicated to the 350th anniversary of the Herrenhäuser Gardens and combines baroque garden art with classic masterpieces from Handel to Puccini – an opulent fireworks of music, light and emotion.
Team Pyrotex Fireworks
20.09.25 (England), Thema: Lights, Camera, Action
Founded in 1999 by Mark Kelsall, Pyrotex Firewworx is one of the most successful pyrotechnics teams of the UK. The team was able to convince worldwide with deep know-how from fireworks and music industry- most recently in 2024 in Vancouver with a jury and audience award and in 2019 as “Grand Champions” in the Philippines.
In your show Lights, Camera, Action Shows Pyrotex in the sky above Herrenhausen scenes from legendary films such as Gladiator, Rocky or Star Wars, which are impressively staged with light, music and voices of famous speakers.

The supporting program
The men’s houses gardens have represented the feudal way of life in the countryside for 350 years. Like the court society once, today the visiting between magnificent plants, sculptures, water features and the colorful grotto of the artist Niki de Saint Phalle are strolling. Additional shows in the anniversary year
For the 350th anniversary of the Herrenhäuser Gardens, guests can look forward to special program highlights. On the first two event evenings there are two special shows in front of the large cascade – an atmospheric start in front of the backdrop of the baroque water feature.

Baroque cavalry in the large garden
A unique highlight of the supporting program awaits visitors June 14. On this fireworks evening, the Institute for Classic Cavalry Hannover EV demonstrates an impressive idea of historical baroque riding art in the royal gardens. The exquisite representation of dressage from the 17th and 18th centuries, with demanding maneuvers, elegant pirouettes and artistic side aisles, is listed by highly qualified riders on around 25 magnificent horses.

The international fireworks competition is now presenting itself with a new, modernly designed logo that sums up the special atmosphere of the event. The new website is also online. NEW: Front-of-Row areas
For the first time, exclusive “Front-of-Row” places are available in the international fireworks competition in the men’s houses. These are located in the three so -called fingers – directly adjacent to the burning point. Access to the colored zones (orange, blue, pink) takes place according to the principle “First come, first serve” And is only possible with the color -matching ribbon. This is available directly at the respective “finger input”. In order to ensure security and clarity, the limited places are divided into stool and meadow areas. Advance ticket sales and ticket prices
The tickets are in the Tourist information Hannover at Ernst-August-Platz 8 or online at https://www.feuerwerk-hannover.de/ticketshop/ available. A ticket costs 26 euros, reduced 23 euros. For 69 euros there is a family card for two adults and two children aged 6 to 14 years, for each additional child there is an additional charge of 11 euros. Saving fireworks for Easter: season ticket discount
Exclusive and limited: The last 80 of a total of 700 season tickets are only available on Easter Saturday (April 19) at a special price for 100 euros – exclusively on site in the Tourist Information at Ernst-August-Platz 8 in Hanover (open on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.).

The package “Sparkling sky over Herrenhausen” includes an overnight stay in the double room of a three- or four-star hotel, including breakfast and admission ticket for 89 and 99 euros.
The “Exclusive” package includes an overnight stay in the four-star hotel, including breakfast and 4-speed menu in the castle kitchen on the fireworks evening. Admission to the fireworks competition is included – as well as access to the VIP area on the grotto with the best view of the spectacle. Price per person in a double room: 209 euros.

Arrival and departure
There are no special regulations for the journey. The HVG expressly recommends that all guests travel by public transport. The admission ticket applies on the day of the event from three hours before the start of the event until 5:00 a.m. the following day as a ticket for all public transport in the entire area of the GVH. The “Herrenhäuser Gardens” stop (line 4 and 5) is located directly at the entrances to the fireworks competition.
In the case of compacted departure traffic, Herrenhausen is relieved by a parking guidance system. Part of the departure traffic is led through the uninhabited area past the Graft via the Steintormarsch and Nienburger Straße towards Königsworther Platz. Via the castle path in the north, the traffic is also led towards Haltenhoffstrasse.
If you arrive by car, you will find parking in the streets “Am Großen Garden” west and “at the Graft” east of the gardens and at the level of the main entrance east.
