The Nuremberg Congress and Tourism Center Nuremberg is expanding the Nuremberg district’s digital web app by another inner city district: the unschledplace. With this expansion, the digital offer of the Nuremberg quarters is supplemented by a lively, urban and cultural -shaped neighborhood. The unschledplace is located between Weißgerbergasse, Flödelmarkt and Pegnitz – embedded in a historical environment that is characterized by gastronomic diversity, creative shops, small galleries and special city stories. The aim is to make the urban space more visible and to open up new perspectives on the old town of Nuremberg.
In recent years, the Nuremberg quarters have developed into an integral part of marketing and focus on the city center as the living center of the city. The web app was launched to present the character of the old town district and its actors to discover unknowns and draw attention to new developments.

Lovingly restored architecture, individual shops, creative gastronomy and a moving story make this place a real highlight in our city. “With the unschledplace, we open up another quarters that reflects the diversity and liveliness of our old town. The Nuremberg quarters invite you to rediscover well-known and find new favorite places,” says Yvonne Coulin, managing director of the Congress and Tourism Center Nuremberg.
The following quarters are now permanently available with the unschledplace: the wine market, the Augustinerhof, the Jakobsmarkt, the craftsman courtyard, the Burgviertel, the Lorenzer Platz and the unschledplace. In the Advent season, the temporary neighborhood Christkindlesmarkt is also available.
There are also numerous complementary content in the existing quarters: including newly opened cafes, owner -managed shops, creative concepts from gastronomy, design and craft as well as places that set new impulses for urban life. The web app thus reflects the current diversity and dynamics of the Nuremberg city center even more.
The Nuremberg quarters’ web app is mobile-optimized, bilingual in German and English and over www.quartiere-nuernberg.de Without download directly in the browser. It is aimed equally at tourists, congress and trade fair guests as well as the Nuremberg population. Users can use images, videos, audio and short texts to places, personalities and backgrounds in the categories of cuisine, history and sights, museums and galleries, spending the night, shopping and curious things.
