The AUVA Accident Hospital (UKH) Klagenfurt is actively participating this year European Mobility Week part, which will take place from September 16th to 22nd, 2024. With targeted campaigns, the UKH Klagenfurt wants to promote sustainable mobility, especially among its around 400 employees, and set an example for environmental protection. The mobility week is accompanied by a series of exciting events that are intended to attract great attention not only in-house but also regionally.
Cycling and saving CO2 – ergometer challenge
Every day from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., employees can pedal vigorously on a CO2 ergometer at the main entrance. Every minute counts! The aim of the campaign is to save CO2 together and to raise awareness among the workforce and patients about sustainable mobility and environmental protection. The AUVA-UKH Klagenfurt impressively shows that sporting activity and climate protection can be combined excellently.
Cycling to work together – cycling rally
The cycling rally starts every day at 6:15 a.m. from various parts of Klagenfurt. Employees travel to work together and save CO2 in the process. Cycling in a group is not only more fun, but also safer. There are various meeting points in the city for all cyclists, from where they will be accompanied by “Sternfahrer”. The campaign strengthens both the sense of community and health.
Free bike service – get your bike check!
A highlight of the mobility week is the free bike service, which is offered daily from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the business yard of the UKH Klagenfurt in cooperation with the Carinthian social enterprises. Employees can have their bikes thoroughly checked and any necessary repairs can be ordered directly on site. This offer is aimed at everyone who wants to get their bike in top shape and travel in an environmentally friendly way.
Breakfast for a climate-friendly journey – be there!
Every morning from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. a free breakfast bag is offered to all those who come to work in a climate-friendly manner. Whether on foot, by bike, e-bike or public transport – a healthy breakfast awaits everyone who is committed to protecting the environment. By the way, public transport in Carinthia can be used free of charge during Mobility Week. A delicious reward for everyone who travels in a climate-friendly way!
Free e-bike charging station – Available now
A new charging station for e-bikes is now available in the farm yard. This can be used free of charge by all employees and remains in effect even after the mobility week. With this measure, the UKH Klagenfurt wants to make its contribution to promoting electromobility.
