At the synchronized swimming World Cup in Singapore, Anna-Maria and Eirini-Marina Alexandri have once again demonstrated their exception. They secured the world championship title on Monday with sovereign presentation in the technology shorter-in front of the teams from China and Russia. With 307.1451 points, the Alexandri sisters achieved a new personal best and thus set a strong sign to the top of the world. Lower Austria’s Sports Council LH deputy Udo Landbauer congratulates: “This is world class! You can be proud of it. It’s not just about gold, it’s about the courage to believe in your own size, to risk it and to call it up.”
The Alexandris had already won European Championship gold in the technology short on Madeira in June 2025, also with a personal point record. “The Alexandris show what is possible when use, discipline and heart are involved.” Landbauer also recognizes the coaches and supervisors of the team: “Behind every gold medal there is a strong network of coaches to supervisors to the entire association. Thanks for that.”
“This World Cup gold is a gift to sport in Lower Austria and the future. The Alexandri sisters have shown that world class can arise from Lower Austria. That makes us strong-and gives us incentive for tomorrow,” emphasizes Landbauer.
