Two new master’s degree programs at IMC Krems

40 additional study places: IMC Krems is launching two new master’s degree programs in the field of natural sciences and technology

Krems (OTS) “Good news” for the IMC Krems: As the Ministry of Science just announced, the IMC Krems can start two additional master’s degree programs. The Biotechnology and OMICS Data Science* and Sustainable Chemistry and Digital Processing* courses, each with 20 study places, are a perfect complement to the existing range of courses.

Strong demand in the natural sciences & technology sector

With the new courses, the Department of Science & Technology, which also offers the study programs Applied Chemistry, Digital Business Innovation and Transformation, Informatics and Medical and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, will be further strengthened and innovatively expanded.

Graduates from the field of natural sciences and technology are in high demand on the job market and have top career opportunities. The expansion of the Master’s degree program strengthens Austria as a training and business location in new technologies and important future industries.”said IMC managing director Mag. Ulrike Prommer.

Here we as IMC Krems can provide more impetus so that education, research, but also the economy experience boosts in development.

Practical courses with excellent job opportunities

The master’s degree programs each comprise 120 ECTS points and culminate in the academic degree of Master of Science in Engineering. The lecture language is English in order to remain competitive internationally. The practical courses are offered in a part-time version. They are aimed at graduates of a bachelor’s degree in the fields of biotechnology, chemistry or related disciplines.

Biotechnology and OMICS Data Science*

The planned master’s degree program in Biotechnology and OMICS Data Science* responds to the growing need for highly qualified specialists at the interface of biotechnology and data science. Graduates will be able to develop innovative projects in the areas of genomics, biotechnology and data science, lead multi-professional teams and tackle complex interdisciplinary challenges related to sustainability.

Sustainable Chemistry and Digital Processing*

Sustainable chemistry drives change in the industrial production of chemicals and materials by striving for resource efficiency and minimal environmental impact. The planned master’s degree program in Sustainable Chemistry and Digital Processing* responds to this trend with a new range of courses in the field of applied chemistry, which enables graduates to develop innovative projects at the interface between chemistry, sustainability and digitalization.
