This year’s specialist conference for photovoltaics (PV) and electricity storage – organized by the Federal Association of Photovoltaic Austria (PV Austria) and the Photovoltaics Technology Platform (TPPV) – will take place in Vienna on November 26th and 27th. The visitor records of recent years are expected again this year. Participants from all PV sectors and related areas are offered an exciting and varied program, workshops, an excursion the day before (November 25th) and the popular TPPV evening reception. There is also the option to follow the event via live stream. In addition to the conference program, there will be a specialist exhibition with over 20 companies as well as a poster exhibition with results from current research projects.
Focus on innovation – generation – storage – use
On the first day, the program is dedicated to individual thematic blocks of innovations in module design and cell technology, discusses the question of how photovoltaics contribute to efficient use of space, focuses on energy storage and presents PV solutions that are ideally integrated into the built environment are.
The second day continues with intensive thematic blocks in which quality and reliability of photovoltaics and PV storage systems are discussed, necessary framework conditions for flexibility in future electricity use as well as the role of digitalization in the energy transition are discussed and insights into best practice storage solutions are provided become. In addition, participants in small groups can take part in parallel workshops on both days, working with experts on the topics of “Repair, Reuse (Second Life) and Recycling of PV Modules” (Day 1) as well as “Colour in Photovoltaics – Innovative solutions for PV in monument and landscape protection zones” (day 2) will be discussed and worked on.
Diverse supporting program
After the great interest last year, the TPPV is once again offering an excursion on the day before the event. Here you have the opportunity to view special PV applications and find out everything about these projects first hand. This time the floating PV system in Grafenwörth, the PV parking space roofing in Oed near Amstetten and the agri-PV system in Pöchlarn can be viewed. During the breaks during the main event, visitors can, as usual, visit the popular exhibition of companies from the PV and storage industry and network directly with the companies. In the accompanying poster exhibition, participants can find out about new research results and, thanks to voting, help their favorite win the audience prize, which will be awarded on the second day together with the jury winner on the podium. At the end of the first day of the event, the TPPV traditionally invites you to a popular evening reception in a cozy atmosphere.
