The communications expert heads the Austrian office of the international Catholic relief organization Church in Need
Vienna (OTS) – After 39 years, Herbert Rechberger (65) will hand over the management of “Church in Need – Austria” to Tobias Pechmann (41) on July 1, 2024. Pechmann worked in PR in Germany and Austria for over ten years, in Vienna, among others, with Rosam Grünberger and most recently with Ketchum.

said Tobias Pechmann. “My special thanks go to my predecessor Herbert Rechberger, who built up and led the work of ‘ACN’ in Austria over the past decades and set the course for the future. There is great potential to further promote the work of ACN in Austria. We will grow, I’m working on that together with our team.

The international Catholic relief organization Aid to the Church in Need has offices in 23 countries and was able to support 5,573 projects in 138 countries worldwide in 2023 thanks to a donation volume of EUR 143.7 million. Donors from Austria contributed EUR 3.1 million.
