Throwing in the towel at the home stretch is disappointing
Vienna (OTS) –

The federal chairman of the parliamentary group of Social Democratic Trade Unionists (FSG), Josef Muchitsch, is disappointed by NEOS’s exit from the government negotiations: “Around 300 experts negotiated in various groups for 45 days, most recently also during the holidays. Throwing in the towel at the finish line is disappointing.”

Things were going well in many areas, for example in the areas of health, education, security, the labor market, but also in securing pensions. They would have already agreed on a partial pension, which would have brought in more net money, on hard work for nursing staff, on measures against wage and social dumping and also on an economic stimulus package and on de-bureaucratization.

“My thanks go to the experts across all party lines, from the chambers and trade unions, institutions, from many NGOs and from the social security providers, who, in difficult times, used their knowledge to help prepare a viable path to a good future for our country “, says Muchitsch in conclusion.
