The Viennese adult education centers invite you to get to know the colorful selection of VHS courses and to grow beyond yourself
Vienna (OTS) – The colorful continuing education garden of the Vienna adult education centers invites you to take a stroll in spring and offers thousands of exciting courses with which you can grow beyond yourself and learn new things! Numerous courses are currently starting that spread the spring mood and can provide personal experiences of success.
“In spring, not only does nature come back to life, but many people feel a real boost of motivation right now. A VHS course is ideal for using this energy sensibly,” emphasizes VHS managing director Herbert Schweiger.
Spring Awakening: Courses that bring joy
During the most beautiful time of year, the VHS offers many courses under the motto “Spring Awakening”. The offering ranges from botanical drawing to herb walks and cooking classes to gardening tips for more wild bees. At the VHS this spring you can also learn the basics of beekeeping, make your own plant inks or learn about bird calls.
At the Vienna Planetarium, “night.sky.music” is a night in spring where astronomy and music are combined. Spring-like lectures on topics such as urban greening, the spring plant wild garlic and spring cleaning of your own finances are also included.
Bloom with the VHS: Collect free organic flower seeds!
So that the Viennese can not only blossom with knowledge, but also let flowers sprout on the balcony or in the garden, VHS managing director Herbert Schweiger distributed sachets with flower seeds as part of a promotional campaign on Vienna’s Mariahilfer Straße.
“Our program is as colorful as a flower meadow and offers suitable options for very different people and needs. Further training involves much more than just learning for a job or a degree. Anyone who keeps the joy of new things and their curiosity alive will feel the positive effects in many areas of life. We are happy when the Viennese thrive with a VHS course,” says Schweiger.
Organic seeds with a mixture of flowers and herbs were distributed, which can be an attraction for beneficial organisms and insects in the garden or in pots. The seeds can be picked up at selected VHS locations from March 25th – while stocks last.
