Together with the audience award that went to Burgenland, the teams were awarded around EUR 53,500.

Youth innovative has been getting the innovative achievements of pupils from all over the country onto the stage since 1987 as a smartest school competition in Austria and impressively shows the ingenuity and commitment with what the teams work on their projects. This year, over 100 pupils (35 projects) could look forward to a qualification for the federal final and this from a total of 440 project submissions.

Wolfgang Hattmannsdorfer, Federal Minister of Economics, Energy and Tourism, and Elisabeth Zehetner, State Secretary for Energy, Startups and Tourism in the BMWET, congratulate on the occasion of the federal final: “Youth innovative” is an important stage for Austria’s innovative strength. The competition impressively shows what arises when young people get space for creativity, curiosity and entrepreneurial thinking. The projects submitted not only impress with technological know-how and economic solution orientation-they also reflect a strong sense of responsibility for social challenges. These are exactly the impulses that our business location needs. Congratulations to this year’s winners and to all final teams. ”

“Our schools provide extraordinary if they offer young people freedom and the necessary support to develop, research and think about ideas. This finale shows that education not only conveys knowledge, but also awakens knowledge and designs the future. These great projects are a strong sign of practical and future -oriented school education,” said Christoph Return, Federal Minister of Education.

Peter Hanke, Federal Minister of Innovation, Mobility and Infrastructure, is pleased about the high innovative strength of the young people: “From smart mobility solutions to sustainable energy applications to digital platforms: The 71 submissions in the Sustainability category underline the strong interest of the boys in this subject field. Have time to take up with their projects and want to deliver creative, implementable solutions. “
