Just in time for the start of school, many children and young people get their first smartphone. For the parents, however, this means additional stress: the variety of offers is getting bigger, and the wage jungle is increasingly denser. The change portal through viewer has therefore analyzed the current offers from 17 mobile phone providers and determined the best tariffs for children and adolescents. Tariffs without a smartphone from 6.66 ꞓ a month
There are some suitable offers for children and adolescents among the entry -level tariffs. If you choose an annual tariff, for example, and pay the entire basic fee in advance, the cheapest tariff starts 6.66 ꞓ per month. The monthly data volume is limited to 10 GB. “This offer is recommended for children who are currently getting into the smartphone world, possibly have limited screen times and still have little streaming,” explains Jonas Maurer. However, 10 GB are quickly too little for young people who are active on social media or consume Netflix and YouTube on their cell phones. “It is therefore important to take into account the needs of your own child,” explains Maurer. For the somewhat older target group there are 2-year tariffs with 60 GB monthly data volume from effectively 7.88 ꞓ per month. Without a contractual commitment, tariffs with a similar data volume then start from 8.33 ꞓ and are still up to 7.50 ꞓ cheaper than comparable offers from other providers. “This shows that with a comparison you save money even when it comes to mobile phone tariffs. The cheapest offer does not always have to be the best,” said Maurer. “You can get 60 GB of data volume for only 1.22 ꞓ more per month instead of 10 GB, so even heavy users get along well.”
5G mostly not relevant for children and adolescents, online completion pays off
With the expansion of the 5G network, there are also increasingly 5G tariffs. Kund: Inside, therefore, more and more are wondering whether the surcharge is worthwhile for a 5G tariff. According to Maurer, this is usually not the case for children and adolescents: “The added value of 5G is not relevant for most children and adolescents. We recommend these tariffs above all: inside who commute and use their cell phones on the way to work or want to use mobile phone internet instead of fixed network internet.” However, what children and adults can save an additional saving is an online contract. Because mobile phone providers grant special discounts of up to 70 ꞓ for an online degree. “Anyone who not only compares online, but also concludes online, has a double advantage: on the one hand because of the monthly savings through the comparison and on the other hand, you benefit from the sometimes generous discounts that offer mobile phone providers on our platform,” adds Maurer.
