How central research, technology and innovation (RTI) are in the process of the “triple transition” (ecological, digital, human) is the focus of the new technology talks, which are taking place for the first time in Vienna on September 12th and 13th. This topic will be discussed in several plenary sessions that will examine “ecological transformation”, “digital transformation” and “humane transformation”. Building on this, implications for RTI policy will be discussed – both at the international, European and national levels.
The Technology Talks Austria are organized by the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology in close cooperation with the main partners:

More than 80 international experts in a 26-hour program
“The Technology Talks Austria is the technology conference par excellence. There are lectures and discussions by top scientists, and numerous politicians and industry representatives are also on board. There is new, hot information and you meet an exciting community,” explains Brigitte Bach, chairwoman of the event board and spokeswoman for the AIT management.
In a total of 26 hours of top-class programming, more than 80 internationally renowned speakers will present their knowledge and incorporate it into debates on the future of research, innovation and technology. There is also enough space for exchange and networking.
“The technology talks will feature first-class discussions with leading experts who will contribute their knowledge from various disciplines to interdisciplinary debates,” emphasizes Andreas Kugi, Chairman of the Program Advisory Board and Scientific Director of the AIT.
About Technology Talks Austria 2024
First held in 1983 as part of the European Forum Alpbach, the technology discussions are reinventing themselves after over 40 years. The new Technology Talks Austria will take place from 12-13. September 2024 in the MuseumsQuartier Vienna. The main theme is the central role of research, technology and innovation (RTI) for the “triple transition” – the simultaneous ecological and digital transformation that should be humane.
