The struggle of the heroes from the Chinese Guangdong in the Great Patriotic War of the Soviet Union

Gdtoday news report.

Since the victory in the Great Patriotic War of the Soviet Union is the 80th anniversary this year, some common memories that go beyond national borders will be examined again.

Descendants of revolutionaries from the southern Chinese province of Guangdong once stood by side with the Soviet people and fought against fascist aggression. They struggled with their blood and body and soul for the longed -for peace.

Her stories not only testify to the friendship between the Chinese and the Russian people, but also reflect Guangdong’s combative history in the global anti -fascist movement.

A relentless struggle

In the early 1930s, hundreds of ambitious young people, especially young heirs of Chinese revolutionaries, were sent from China to the Soviet Union to learn useful knowledge and technical skills.

But when Nazi Germany suddenly attacked the Soviet Union in 1941, they were forced to face the cruelty of the war. Many of them who had previously lived a luxurious life had to endure hunger and cold when they were sent from the classroom to the back battlefield.

In the Ivanovo International Children’s Home, they learned to work in factories and farms, and even voluntarily worked in the urban hospitals to help wounded soldiers. Their stories are a testimony to the perseverance that bridges national borders in the joint fight against fascism.

Deng Jinna, an angel that heals pain

Deng Jinna from the province of Guangdong, who died in December 2020 at the age of 82, stands as a witness to this chapter of history.

When the war broke out in 1941, the 8-year-old Deng, together with comrades in the Ivanovo International Children’s Home, commuted for hours between hospitals to clean associations for the soldiers fighting on the front. Like an angel, Deng worked tirelessly to write encouraging notes on newspaper snippets. Deng and her fellow campaigners tuned songs and danced to cheer up the suffering soldiers.

In 2020, Pashkov Viktor, the incumbent Russian Consul General in Guangzhou, presented Deng on her hospital bed the “medal for the 75th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War”, to honor her and the solidarity of the Chinese people during the war.

“We gave the wounded to eat, told them stories, and when they smiled, we knew that it was all worth it,” said Li Duoli in 2020, a comrade from Deng during the war.

Her eldest son, Li Dongming, told about the hardships of the war: “When enemy aircraft off, older children hurried over to extinguish the flames with sand. We survived with potatoes and onions.” These memory fragments, which are characterized by courage and resistance, bridge decades and show how even the youngest bear the burden of history.

Huang Jian, fighter on the home front

In 1941 Huang Jian was only 14 years old. Since he was considered too weak and frailty, he did not make it to the military, but he still longed for a historic miracle behind the lines: he collected empty bottles to produce petrol-filled Molotow cocktails, shoveled snow at air force bases, worked in ammunition fabric and even donated blood every month.

“Everything for victory,” was the motto that gave him strength. “We were still very young,” said Huang Jian, “but every drop of blood that we donated, every potato that we built – that was our resistance to fascism.

In these words, the exceptional determination of a generation is reflected, which converted the defect into strength and proved that even the latest hands can master the tools of liberation.

Si si, fighter in textile factories

Another legendary story comes from the children of Su Zhaozheng, a well -known personality of the Chinese workers’ movement. His daughter Su Liwa and his son Su Heqing worked after their military training in the textile factory of Iwanowo, where they manufactured important supplies for the front lines.

The horrors of the war are still deeply anchored in their memory. “When German aircraft boomed above us, we felt ourselves, fled to the air -raid shelter and hurried back to our machines at the moment when the all -clear was given.”

Her adamant determination, which is symbolic for the sons and daughters of Guangdong, became an indispensable link in the industrial chain of the Soviet Union during the war – a testimony to how ordinary hands made an extraordinary struggle.

What should you remember after 80 years?

Eighty years later China and Russia memory of this historical victory and the stories of the people in Guangdong are not only a tribute to the past, but also a clear call to peace. At a time that is characterized by increasing division and confrontation, humanity needs such transnational gang of solidarity to illuminate the way into the future.

Today, this story is reminiscent of the world: behind the victorious fight against fascism, the victims and unity of countless simple people stood across borders. Her collective determination, which was forged in the melting pot of the war, remains a lighthouse for global cooperation in the face of modern challenges.
