The second ski season in the “School of Champions” starts on January 27th on ORF 1

The second ski season in the “School of Champions” starts on January 27th on ORF 1

With the ambitious seasonal goals of the young ski stars and the first party of the winter with some surprising consequences, the “School of Champions” starts on the ORF 1 premiere Monday, January 27th, 2025, at 8:15 p.m. in a double episode and from Friday , January 24th, on ORF ON for her second school year. For Emilia Warenski, Imre Lichtenberger, Luna Mwezi, Mikka Forcher, Moritz Uhl and Co., in addition to sporting lessons, there is even more speed, even more action and even more drama on the schedule. From performance pressure, family changes and matters of the heart to intra-school intrigues, the “champions” are challenged in a wide variety of disciplines. Other roles that can be seen include Jakob Seeböck, Josephine Ehlert, Gregor Seberg, Simon Hatzl, Thomas Mraz, Ferdinand Hofer, Judith Altenberger, Ferdinand Seebacher, Anna Thunhart, Marie Theres Müller and David-Joel Oberholzer. Jakob Fischer and Dominik Hartl again sat in the director’s chair. The scripts come from executive producer and head writer Samuel Schultschik as well as Marie-Therese Thill, Thomas Eichtinger and Marlene Rudy. Further information is available at presse.ORF.at.

Emilia Warenski: “A lot of descent and a lot more drama”

“Dani is facing a lot of downhill events and a lot more drama – there’s just a lot happening in general. There are new friendships and maybe a little love too. It will be exciting and varied, with exciting and beautiful scenes.” And further: “It’s great to be in front of the camera with everyone – it’s so beautiful in Vienna and Gastein – and it’s a lot of fun to watch the finished series afterwards to look at.”

Imre Lichtenberger: “Common opponent who brings them together”

“Nikki is there for his friends a lot, that’s important to him. He not only says it, but also puts it into action. However, he struggles a lot with Veighofer because he least embodies the training spirit that is preached. His life is the opposite of what the trainer would like.” He also reveals: “The second season is much more exciting and revolves more around the stories of the young people than the adults. Everyone has their own private problems, but there is a common enemy that brings them together.”

Luna Mwezi: Nawal struggles “with her own thoughts and the pressure of sport”

“In the second season, Nawal struggles with her own thoughts and the pressure of sport. And there are positives, but also negatives.” And further: “The special thing about ‘School of Champions’ is that the series follows the lives of the athletes, but it’s not just about sport, but also about their relationships and about how they treat each other. The ski shots with the pros and our doubles are also very cool.”

Moritz Uhl: “Combining competitive sports and friendship”

“Viewers can look forward to extremely cool skiing footage and lots of drama. The second season brings a lot of change, pain, breach of trust and love for my role.” Furthermore: “What makes ‘School of Champions’ so special is the connection between skiing and school life, the way the individual characters interact with each other and how they try to combine competitive sport and friendship.”
