Salzburg (OTS) – The Hydrological Investigation Center Salzburg (HUS) is celebrating a remarkable anniversary in 2024, because it marks a proud 50 years of continuous success with the courage to innovate, a high level of commitment, flexibility and the pursuit of quality. Since its founding in 1974, the company has become an industry leader in the region and has continually expanded its presence in the environmental market. In 2018, HUS became part of the GBA Group.
The company’s 50th anniversary celebrations attracted a large number of personalities, including the company founder, Dipl. Ing. Reinhold Haider, as well as the representatives of the GBA Group Steffen Walter (CEO of GBA Holding GmbH) and Laura Garcia Baglietto (Vice President Water & Environment International) . In her speech, the company’s managing director, Dipl.-Ing. Senada Sabic, the importance of courage, perseverance, reliability and innovation for the company’s continued success.
Since its founding half a century ago, HUS has written an impressive success story. From humble beginnings as a 5-person team on Roseggerstrasse in Lehen, it has developed into a nationally recognized company in the Itzlingen “IQ International Quarter” on Schillerstrasse, offering its services throughout Austria.
The team, which now consists of around 30 people, looks after the water from the source to the tap, from the drain pipe to its return to its natural cycle. Under the umbrella of HUS, all hydrological matters are brought together in a combination of an accredited laboratory testing center and an engineering office for water management, from analysis to advice and assessment to planning. In the state of Salzburg, around 400 drinking water suppliers place their trust in HUS to ensure the quality and reliability of their water supply.

As part of the 50th anniversary celebrations, employees had the opportunity to recognize the company’s achievements and look forward to the successes to come.
