Vienna (OTS) – In 2023, Thomas Heinze as Caspar Bergmann took over the management of the Munich murder squad from Jan-Gregor Kremp as Richard Voss – as “The Old Man” he is now investigating new exciting cases together with colleague Anna Lorenz (Stephanie Stumph): from April 5, 2024 Eight new episodes of the 48th season of the TV crime classic are on the program every Friday at 8:15 p.m. on ORF 2. In the first new episode entitled “Crash,” an emergency ambulance is intentionally rammed by a car – a paramedic is killed.

Paramedic Elva Klein (Anna Gesa-Raija Lappe) has been on her feet for more than 26 hours when she and her colleague Johanna Bergmann (Lena Meckel) have an accident while on duty late at night. Shortly before the police arrive at the scene, a dark car rams the emergency ambulance. While Johanna barely survives, Elva is killed by the impact. It quickly becomes clear that it is murder. Since witness interviews yield little of any use, Chief Inspector Caspar Bergmann (Thomas Heinze) concentrates on the family environment of those killed.
