Vienna (OTS) Christmas spirit in the Marx Palast on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at 9:55 p.m. on ORF 1: This year, too, the equipment spared no expense or effort to decorate the “Welcome Austria” studio more or less festively. While the annual tradition of staged Christmas jokes continues this year with a contribution from Stefanie Sargnagel, Stermann and Grissemann hold discussions with guests Tim Mälzer, Thees Uhlmann and Timna Brauer. And the “Tuesday Night Chapel” says goodbye to the audience together with Timna Brauer and a contemplative final number. From 10:55 p.m. “DIE.NACHT” presents the season finale of the ORF mockumentary “DAVE” with a double episode. A lot of turbulence is inevitable – but will everything turn out well for Dave in the end?

“Welcome Austria” with Stermann & Grissemann at 9:55 p.m

You can’t ignore him on German-language cooking television: Tim Mälzer is probably Germany’s most famous TV chef and has taken the hearts and stomachs of the television audience by storm with his insults and successful formats such as “Kitchen Impossible” or “The Taste”. Thanks to the new cookbook, fans of culinary punk can now also “Cook Twenty-Four-Seven” – that’s the title. Musician and Tomte frontman Thees Uhlmann contributed everyday culinary observations as a small amuse-bouche and presented the joint work with the chef de cuisine and “Bullerei” owner Tim Mälzer in a fun “Lumumper evening” with lots of chat, music, cooking and Reading in Hamburg. So there is a lot to discuss during your visit to the Marx Palace.

Things get even more Christmassy with singer and universal artist Timna Brauer. The daughter of the Viennese painter Arik Brauer, who died in 2021, has written a children’s book in which she has collected fantastic stories about traditions from all over the world surrounding the festival of the year. The result is an original book for young and old, informative and at the same time full of imagination and humor. Brauer also works as an illustrator and is regularly on stage, reading and singing from her father’s work or together with artists such as the Elias Meiri Ensemble and the monks of Heiligenkreuz Abbey – and in the case of the WÖ final number with the ” Tuesday Night Chapel”. In the “Welcome Austria” talk, she tells us whether she can get Stermann and Grissemann into the Christmas spirit and how the artist herself spends the holidays.

Season finale: Two episodes of “DAVE” at 10:55 p.m. and 11:30 p.m

Episode 7: It’s Friday and Dave and Jan set off from Velden to the Waldviertel to Dave’s father. A quick stop to wash the Nice Ridey takes Dave and Jan to incredible Linz. But there isn’t much time left to complete the job so that Dave can get to his father and the cloud password in time – and with it to the World Hit Wonder beat and then to his “Sonie Music” appointment on Saturday. Shortly before the finish line, Dave has to make another choice. Will he choose the right path this time?

Episode 8: The grand finale! In the final episode of season two, “DAVE,” a lot happens and Dave has to face an emotional rollercoaster. But will everything turn out well in the end? Will Dave find his dad, get the beat, and make it to his “Sonie Music” appointment on time?
