THE.NIGHT: “Welcome Austria” with Eva Pölzl and Boris Lauterbach on April 23rd on ORF 1

Afterwards: “Pratersterne” and “Good Night Austria”

Vienna (OTS) The queen of good humor meets the king of North German hip hop when “Guten Morgen Österreich” presenter Eva Pölzl and Boris Lauterbach aka King Boris at Stermann and Grissemann in “Welcome Austria” on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at 10 p.m on ORF 1 – and from 8 p.m. on on.ORF.at and in the TVthek app – are guests. While Eva Pölzl has accompanied the ORF audience into the day with “Guten Morgen Österreich” since 2016 and has become a crowd favorite, the former member of the successful group “Fettes Brot” is releasing his new solo album “Disneyland After Dark”, which has profound lyrics and catchy beats. At the crowning conclusion of the royal broadcast, the stage will be conquered by the “Amadeus Austrian Music Award”-nominated rapper Eli Preiss, who will make the studio audience go wild with her clever lyrics and energetic appearance. Then at 11 p.m. the “Prater Stars” illuminate THE NIGHT: Hosea Ratschiller welcomes Lisa Eckhart, Martin Buchgraber, Benedikt Mitmannsgruber and Lisa Schmid to the stand-up stage of the Vienna Fluc. At 11.35 p.m. there will be a dacapo with “Good Night Austria”.

“Welcome Austria” with Stermann & Grissemann at 10 p.m

Eva Pölzl, the shining sun of early television, shows no signs of fatigue even after almost 2,000 broadcasts of “Guten Morgen Österreich”. Shortly before the broadcast anniversary on May 24th, she brought an unshakably good mood to the studio late in the evening during her second visit to “Welcome Austria”. The all-purpose moderation weapon, who is known for her charismatic smile and quick-witted comments, is Stermann and Grissemann’s guest at the Marx Palast.

Boris Lauterbach was on stage as King Boris in the hip-hop band “Fettes Brot” for over 30 years. With hits like “Gay Girls,” “Jein” and “Nordisch by Nature,” the trio climbed to the top of the German hip-hop Olympus and had a significant impact on the scene. Twelve years after his first solo project “The King Dances,” King Boris is now releasing “Disneyland After Dark” and has thus musically “arrived home” – that’s the title of the first single. In the WÖ-Talk he reveals what’s going on with his solo career and how it differs from everyday touring in a trio.

“Pratersterne” at 11 p.m

In this morbid episode, Hosea Ratschiller first presents the much-discussed Lisa Eckhart. Among other things, she considers an ax in the back to be a possible pre-existing corona illness. Martin Buchgraber, on the other hand, shows in an excerpt from his first Sol program what types there are in a funeral home. Benedikt Mitmannsgruber makes up for what appears to be a lack of power with excellent wordplay. And ultimately Lisa Schmid sings about the swan song of a macabre love.
