St. Pölten (OTS) On Wednesday, July 10th, Ferdinand Raimund’s original magical fairy tale “The Spendthrift” will premiere at the Raimundspiele Gutenstein in a production by Helmut Wiesner; Starts at 7:30 p.m. Raimund’s last play about Julius von Flottwell, who squanders all his wealth and is saved by the love of a fairy and the loyalty of his servant Valentin, will be played in the theater tent in the Bleichgarten in Gutenstein until August 4th, every Thursday (except the 11th and 25th). To mark the 35th anniversary of the Burg Gars Opera and as a prelude to Clemens Unterreiner’s directorship, Gaetano Donizetti’s “L’elisir d’amore – The Love Potion” will be performed for the first time at Gars am Kamp Castle on Saturday, July 13th from 8 p.m. for performance. Finally, on Tuesday, July 16th, the “Witch Time in the Wachau” begins at the Weissenkirchen Wachau Festival; The premiere of the comedy with music and singing by Susanne Felicitas Wolf begins at 7:30 p.m. The piece about inherited magic arts, witchcraft in one’s own cause and a lot of turbulence will be played in the Teisenhoferhof under the direction of Marcus Strahl (musical direction: Elena Gertcheva) until August 25th (except August 16th to 18th) every Friday to Sunday.
