Operetta in Langenlois, Singspiel in Stockerau
St. Pölten (OTS) – To mark the 100th anniversary of the classic operetta, the Langenlois operetta features the romantic turmoil of “Countess Marzia” by Emmerich Kálmán on the program this year (director: Peter Lund, musical direction: Lorenz C. Aichner). The story about the eccentric millionaire, Prince Populescu, the pig farmer Kolomán Zsupán and the administrator Tassilo (“Come with us to Varasdin!”) will premiere in the park of Haindorf Castle on Thursday, July 25th, from 8:30 p.m. Follow-up dates: July 26th and 27th and August 2nd, 3rd and 10th from 8:30 p.m. and August 4th and 9th from 6:30 p.m. For more information and tickets, contact Operetta Langenlois on 02734/3450, e-mail tickets@kulturlangenlois.at and www.operettelangenlois.at.
On Thursday, August 1st, the 60th anniversary of the Stockerau Festival will be celebrated with the premiere of Carlo Goldoni’s “The Servant of Two Masters”; It begins in front of the baroque parish church at 7:30 p.m. Peter Uwira transformed the Commedia dell’arte into a musical play; the fun and entertaining journey with Truffaldino, Beatrice, Florindo, Pantalone and others to Venice was staged by artistic director Christian Spatzek.
