No one wanted to miss that in the neighborhood! In the afternoon of April 24, 2025, around 500 people from the Grätzl celebrated the official opening of the Club+ All in Breitenlee. In addition to a reception with sparkling wine and sandwiches, the colorful supporting program offered lively dance performances from line dance to salsa to waltz from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., an appearance of the drum formation of the clubs and a tricky quiz as a competition.
Peter Hacker, managing city council for social affairs, health and sport, did not miss the opportunity to open the new Klublokal personally despite the dense schedule: “Vienna is a city of coexistence and that is exactly what this club impressively shows. Here senior meets to stay fit down to old age and have fun as well as young people to make their district even more livable with common projects. I am already looking forward to the innovative coexistence that will be created here!

Ernst Nevrivy, district leader of the Danube City, was also enthusiastic about the new club concept: “In Breitenlee, the neighborhood and citizens are very important! What I particularly like here is that club members have a say and help shape their program themselves! People of the younger generations are also cordially invited to use the premises and to initiate joint activities with senior citizens.

Seniors set the tone here!
The redesigned Club+ All in Breitenlee is a modern, barrier -free meeting point in the heart of the Danube city. The senior citizens themselves provide variety: the daily changing program is created in close cooperation with the members. The spacious common rooms, a beautiful large outdoor area, a children’s landscape and an open community kitchen invite all neighbors from the newly created residential construction. Madlena Komitova, head of the pensioner club for the city of Vienna, concludes: “There is something for every taste: from joint festivals and excursions to games, cooking together to dance, movement offers and lectures. These activities where all generations are welcome guarantee fun and serve health promotion for young and old.

The Club+ All in Breitenlee, on behalf of all 135 clubs in Vienna, shows that the Viennese pensioners have been making an invaluable contribution to the quality of life and social cohesion for 80 years! The excellent catering service of the fresh kitchens of the houses to life with their award-winning patisserie and their charming “grandma/grandpa hosts” ensured the culinary well-being.
