More about the content

Episode 1 (Monday, November 13th, 8:15 p.m., ORF 1)

The doctor Lucia Salinger (Brigitte Hobmeier) moves with her family to the Tyrolean mountain village of Rotten, the hometown of her husband Matthi (Robert Stadlober). Her little daughter Alma (Laeni Geiseler) suffers from severe asthma and the healthy mountain air of the Alps is supposed to alleviate her illness. But the new start is bumpy: neighbor Aurelia (Sylvia Eisenberger) gives the family a strange welcome and Lucia also has to warm up to her in-laws. After the first night in the new home, Alma claims that a dead woman visited her and gave her a ring. When Lucia has a scary encounter while jogging in the forest, it becomes clear that something is wrong in Rotten.

Episode 2 (Monday, November 13th, 9:05 p.m., ORF 1)

The legend of the “Guardian of the Mountains” never lets Alma go. She talks obsessively about the corpse of a young woman that is supposed to be found at Muttstein. When Alma goes on a mountain hike with Lucia and Valentina (Marie-Luise Stockinger), Alma’s premonition actually becomes reality. Meanwhile, Bruno (Karl Fischer) prepares for the community meeting. There he would like to present his plans for blowing up the mountain and building a new gondola, but Bruno will not only receive approval. At the same time, the young woman’s body can be identified: it is Marianne Wild (Matilda Cunietti), Aurelia’s daughter, who disappeared without a trace 40 years ago. When Lucia discovers an injury on Marianne’s body, she insists on an autopsy.

Episode 3 (Monday, November 13th, 10 p.m., ORF 1)

It is clear: Marianne was murdered. Inspector Prochaszka (Stipe Erceg) begins the investigation, and Alma is also questioned. She has been behaving more and more strangely, especially since Marianne’s body was found, which does not go unnoticed by Lucia. She discovers uncanny parallels to the dead Marianne and she realizes that Alma knows things that she actually cannot know. The mysterious events also put increasing strain on Lucia and Matthi’s marriage and arguments break out. When Lucia wants to flee Rotten with her children, Alma suddenly disappears.
