The incubator program of the Wiener Zeitung media group is entering its second round

The new incubator program of the Media Innovation Lab of the Wiener Zeitung media group is starting the second round after the successful first round.

Vienna (OTS) – Over the next three months, eleven startups will receive extensive support in constructive workshops. The ideas for new media projects are evaluated, sharpened, optimized and checked for their financial viability. In addition, participants benefit from the co-working space, multimedia and meeting rooms, as well as networking events.

The topics of the selected startups are broad and range from new journalistic formats to media platforms to technology and AI solutions for the media industry:

• The social impact startup “Screenfinder” uses urban screen marketing technology to make companies more visible and promote local initiatives.
• “RadHUB” aims to be Vienna’s central multimedia platform for all topics related to cycling.
• The Foreign Policy with Mustard YouTube channel discusses complex international conflicts to promote understanding of global political events.
• “The Story of Our Future” is a media format that strives to transform the economy and society through future topics such as meaning, trust and spirituality.
• “KIRA – your news podcast” is Austria’s only weekly news podcast for children.
• “Erlance Studios” sensitizes young people to their own emotional world through animated content.
• “AIM – AI Impact Mission” is a podcast format that supports AI innovations and brings together people from research, business and investors.
• “Global Futurist” bridges blockchain technology and art, with a focus on the music industry.
• “Textshine” is a fully automatic correction solution that meets the high demands of the publishing sector.
• The CMS AI software “Permar AI” automatically creates landing pages and blog articles and enables media companies to optimize their reporting.
• “FactJack” supports the media world in the fight against fake news by certifying content creators and highlighting high-quality journalism on social media.

In addition to the compact and free incubator, there is the nine-month fellowship, in which participating startups also receive financial support. The next batch will start in October 2024. With the Media Hub Austria, the Wiener Zeitung media group is reaffirming its commitment to growth and innovation in the Austrian media market.
