Vienna, June 23, 2025 – The launch of the Zero Emission Booklets 4.0 instead of. Numerous decision -makers: inside from business, politics, science and the media accepted the invitation from One2zero to discuss the status quo of decarbonization in Austria. In the center of the evening: Electricity memory as a backbone of the energy transition.
A highlight was the panel discussion with representatives: inside of Siemens, ORF III, Kite Rise Technologies and other. The discussion round made it clear: Electricity storage is no longer a technological “Nice-to-Have”-they are a central prerequisite for a safe power supply and decarbonization.
The evening ended with a common get-together that offered space for personal exchange and new networking. Because enthusiasm for the energy transition is essential to get together and create real impact. Or, as Julia Flath, Energy Engineer at Siemensaptly formulated: “Enthusiasm is contagious – like a smile.”
Storage technologies are increasingly considered strategic tools for companies, municipalities and project developers: inside to control energy flows, reduce costs and reduce CO₂. “”Batteries are the Lego module of the energy transition – they enable central systems to think again decentrally, ”said Tobias Wiener, CEO & Founder of one2zero.
Growing importance throughout Europe
According to the current European Market Outlook, the installed battery storage capacity in Europe will change to around 400 GWh by 2029 – a huge leap compared to today. Nevertheless, this level is still significantly below the actual need: at least 780 GWh would be required by 2030 to make the European electricity system fit for renewable energies. Austria’s companies are under pressure to act – and at the same time a unique opportunity to position themselves as a pioneer of the energy transition.

The Zero Emission Booklet 4.0 illuminates the relevance of storage technologies, shows concrete practical examples from companies such as Siemens, DM drugstore market, PwC and Wüstenrot And gives an outlook on regulatory and economic framework. The publication with valuable impulses of short 20 participants out of Economy, science, politics and media.
The booklet is therefore aimed at everyone who actively shape transformation – in companies, municipalities, research or public administration.
