“The first answers to the parliamentary inquiries regarding payments to NGOs have arrived and have it tale. Hidden donations in the direction of your own parties and friendly, to absurdities to huge amounts for things that no one needs – already after the first ministries, multiple funding is already occupied and several hundred million euros are listed, while the population is also striking. Massive and excessive increase in the amount of funding within the past five years, ”said FPÖ general secretary NABG today. After a first look at the answering, Michael Schleditz clear.
An example from the first rough sighting: The green party school Freda – the Green Future Academy received two payments from the Ministry of Social Affairs in 2023. Use of use according to the ministry: “Negotiate politically” (course/course). Type of contract: “Other contracts”. At the time, Social Minister Johannes Rauch (Greens) was politically responsible. “Even if there are two smaller sums, this point alone explains the fear of transparency. There are still many open inquiries about these payments and we will continue to provide information, because this is a scandal. Imagine that Herbert Kickl would have only transferred one cent from the Ministry of the Interior to his own FPÖ academy-the republic would be head,” said Schledlitz.
And that is only the beginning: “Hundreds of million euros flowed and flow to partly absurd and partly party -related projects. We will work through everything exactly and the population will inform you step by step transparently. The taxpayer has earned meaningful projects and support.
Government continues to try to prevent transparency
According to Schledlitz, the more than 700 individual queries had to be carried out, since not a single ministry wanted to answer the question of payments to NGOs – on the grounds that the term NGOs did not legally exist. “We therefore only remained left to query as wide as possible. The list should not be a rating. This claim was only attempted to create misconduct against transparency by the government – and a few ‘stupid’ have just fallen on or wanted to support the government in its fight against transparency.”
With the answers that are now partially part of the table, however, it will be really absurd: the term “NGO” exists very well, but only if it is needed in the answers of the ministers themselves, for example in response from Minister of Social Affairs Schumann. In it she uses the name several times. Literally it says:
“… for the above-mentioned NGOs, the enclosed Excel sheet is answered. If the NGO is not listed in the Excel sheet, no payments were made in the period mentioned.”
But when it came to whether, in addition to the organizations in particular, other NGOs have received payments, Schumann suddenly refused every answer – on the grounds that “NGO is not a clearly defined legal term”.
“That means in plain language: The minister answers questions with terms that she uses in the same document – and at the same time denies its validity. This government is at the end. The taxpayer has a right to find out where his funds are going. It is not about small things, but about hundreds of millions, even if you only highly highlight some of the ministries. It is hardly possible to answer more embarrassing than that of Ms. Schumann without making himself completely ridiculous, ”said the Freedom General Secretary, who emphasized not to let it go until each cent is transparently disclosed.
“At the same time, all ministries refuse to answer the question of whether, for example, there are political or personnel connections between the minister, cabinet or ministry and the funded NGO or project. In short: One is silent about ‘friendship and corruption’,” said Schledlitz and finally: “The traffic light government tries to prevent transparency – but we will get every detail. hard -earned tax money is issued and where it is wasted. “
