“Change sides – This is how we become European champions” from Friday, May 24th, at 9:15 p.m. on ORF 1

Austria is a complete underdog at the upcoming European Football Championships, so only one thing can lead to a surprise victory: mental superiority. To do this, the opposing nations must be studied in detail, with all their strengths and weaknesses. Of course not in terms of football, but psychologically, because you also win football games in your head. For this mission of national importance, two top people were entrusted with the implementation of “Changing Sides – How We Become European Champions”: Christoph Grissemann, the man with an eye for people’s weaknesses, and Herbert Prohaska, the expert on everything. The duo has already found the tactical solution: the opponent is attacked with insults! In three editions – Fridays, May 24th, May 31st and June 7th, each at 9.15 p.m. on ORF 1 – the two of them invite one guest from the football and one from the humor sector, and it’s already swarming of expertise, and the intersections between sport and insults are worked out. Each episode also features a mock sketch, the legendary goal wall shooting and a final song by Herbert Prohaska with Pete Art and band.

The first edition on May 24th will focus on EM host Germany. Of course, there can only be one person who can provide competent information – the Goleador himself: Hans Krankl supports Grissemann and Prohaska with advice and support and also demonstrates his comedic skills. Under the strict eyes of his former protégé at the ORF football event “The Match” Gernot Kulis, he plays a sketch with Herbert Prohaska that is impressive! But to ensure that humor, hobby psychology and dangerous half-knowledge don’t get too much out of hand, they are provided with a really competent expert: ORF correspondent Birgit Schwarz has lived in Germany for decades and guarantees the necessary knowledge of the host country.
