The establishment of a work foundation in Lower Austria is being examined
St. Pölten (OTS) –

“The situation of the Kika/Leiner employees is of great concern to us in the state of Lower Austria. We don’t care about a single fate. Such news is doubly bitter, especially before Christmas,” said the responsible Lower Austrian FPÖ regional councilor Mag. Susanne Rosenkranz.

“We are therefore in constant communication with the AMS about how and whether the employees there can place people as quickly and as well as possible,” says Rosenkranz, emphasizing that the establishment of a work foundation is currently being examined. “If the AMS’s capacities are no longer sufficient, we must be able to react quickly.”

“I have always said that we continually evaluate the current situation and are open to a work foundation. We want to give people security that they can be placed as quickly as possible,” says Rosenkranz. According to the forecasts published by WIFO on Monday, the economic situation will only recover slowly, “that’s why we want to be prepared for the coming months,” she explains. Due to structural problems in labor market participation and in the education system, medium-term economic growth is being slowed down, which makes appropriate foresight necessary.

Monitoring developments is the focus of everyone involved and those responsible in the state of Lower Austria. Rosenkranz would like to give the Kika/Leiner employees affected by the insolvency a positive perspective for the new year.
