Dispute over the parking permit
Are Lower Austrians disadvantaged when parking in Vienna?
If you park your car in Vienna, you have to pay per hour. Only those who have their main residence in one of the 23 districts can buy a so-called parking sticker for 120 euros and then park in their home district for a year. If you also have a secondary residence in another district, you can also buy a seasonal parking sticker. However, this only applies to Viennese people. Lower Austrians who also have secondary residences in the 23rd district feel disadvantaged and have asked Ombudsman Gaby Schwarz for support.
